This strategic plan (2022/2026) was prepared by Embibo Foundation staff, Board of Directors and partners through participatory planning processes. In preparing this 5-year strategic plan, Embibo Foundation puts great emphasis on building on its successes and reflecting on challenges that it has faced since its inception.
The strategic plan comprises of the following major components: A brief introduction highlighting Embibo Foundation’s background, rationale and objectives of the plan, expected assumptions and methodology of developing the plan; Institutional review highlighting the vision, mission statements, core values, theory of change, current organogram and performance review of the Foundation. It further highlights the situational analysis including the status of refugees in Uganda, geographical context, economic context, social/demographic context, political context, donor/resource partner trends, SWOT and PESTEL analysis, stakeholder analysis, risk analysis; strategic focus and direction; strategic plan implementation as well as monitoring and evaluation modalities.
This 5-year strategic plan is anchored on 4 strategic issues namely, 1) land rights, livelihoods improvement, gender-based violence and Institutional strengthening.
Women and youth from targeted households engage in climatic smart agriculture and have sustainable livelihoods
Increased access, ownership and security of tenure of land and productive assets for women in targeted refugee and host districts.
Reduced Gender Based Violence in targeted refugee and host community households
Strengthened institutional capacity for Embibo Foundation and affiliated people's institutions to achieve stipulated Strategic Objectives
